Unfollowgram Alternative: Is It Down, and What to Use Now

Unfollowgram isn't working right now. When we checked on 15 October 2026, unfollowgram.com redirected every visit to a maintenance page that says "Service Unavailable. This service is currently unavailable." If you used it to see who unfollowed you on Instagram, there are three kinds of alternative, and which one fits depends on how much you're willing to do yourself.

We make Follo, one of those alternatives, so we've kept this page to things you can check: what Unfollowgram's site shows, what it said before, and how each option works.

What happened to Unfollowgram?

We don't know why the service is down or whether it will return, and we have no connection to it. Here is what the public record shows:

  • Today: unfollowgram.com and www.unfollowgram.com both redirect to /maintenance.html, a "Service Unavailable" page (checked 15 October 2026).
  • March 2026: the Internet Archive's copy of the home page from 16 March 2026 describes a username-based unfollowers tracker that worked on public accounts without a login, and offered an app. The Archive first captured the maintenance page on 23 March 2026.
  • Earlier: in September 2025, the same domain presented itself mainly as an anonymous story viewer.

So people who relied on it lost access some time around spring 2026, along with any history it had saved for them.

What to use instead of Unfollowgram

Every unfollower tool works the same way underneath: it saves your followers list, reads it again later and compares. Instagram doesn't notify anyone about unfollows and doesn't keep a history of them. The options differ in how they get your list.

1. Instagram's own data download (free, no login anywhere else)

Request your followers list from Accounts Center today, request it again in a few weeks, and compare the two files. It's free, it uses Instagram's own records and no third party is involved. The downsides: you request every download yourself, you do the comparison, and you only learn about unfollows between the downloads you remembered to make. Our guide on how to see who unfollowed you on Instagram has the steps and a spreadsheet formula.

2. Username lookup websites (no login, public accounts only)

These are closest to what Unfollowgram was offering in 2026: you type a username and the site reads what's publicly visible. They only work on public accounts, they only track from the day you first add your username, and large lists can be slow or incomplete. Check that a site never asks for your password; one that does isn't a lookup tool.

3. Apps you sign in to (automatic, on your phone)

You sign in to Instagram inside the app and it reads your lists each time you check. This is the least effort, works for private accounts too because it's your own account, and keeps your history for you. It's also the type to choose most carefully: the sign-in should happen on Instagram's own login page, and the app should never take actions on your account by itself.

How Follo compares

Follo is an app of the third kind, for iPhone and Android. Here is how it answers the questions above:

  • Sign-in: on Instagram's official login page inside the app. Follo never sees or stores your password. The details are on Is Follo safe?
  • Checks: each time you open the app, it compares your lists with your last check and shows who unfollowed you and who followed you.
  • Actions: it never follows, unfollows, likes or posts by itself. You can unfollow an account from a list, one tap at a time.
  • Reports: besides unfollowers, it shows other reports, such as Don't Follow Me Back and ghost followers.
  • Limits: like every tool, it can't show unfollows from before your first check, can't open private accounts and can't show who viewed your profile.

If you'd rather not sign in to any app, the data download is the honest free choice, and a username site is the closest match to how Unfollowgram last worked.

How we checked

We loaded unfollowgram.com on 15 October 2026 and recorded the redirect and the page text. The history comes from the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine (web.archive.org), from its captures of unfollowgram.com dated 16 March 2026 and 23 March 2026, and from September 2025. We'll update this page if the service comes back. If anything here is out of date, email support@follotracker.com.

Frequently asked questions

Is Unfollowgram down?

Yes, as of 15 October 2026 its website shows a "Service Unavailable" maintenance page, and the Internet Archive has captured that page since March 2026.

Can I get my old Unfollowgram history back?

Probably not. Any history was stored by the service. Start a new baseline today with a data download or an app, and the next comparison will show names.

Is there a free Unfollowgram alternative?

Yes. Comparing two Instagram data downloads is free. Some apps and sites also have free parts; in Follo, your followers and following lists are free, and you can try every feature with a 3-day free trial.

Can any alternative show unfollows from before I started?

No. Instagram doesn't keep an unfollow history, so every tool starts from your first check. That's why it's worth saving a baseline as soon as possible.
